I’m an ELLIS PhD student on the interdisciplinary track, jointly hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen (supervised by Bernhard Schölkopf) and the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Jena (supervised by Markus Reichstein).

I’m an ELLIS PhD student on the interdisciplinary track, jointly supervised by Bernhard Schölkopf (MPI for Intelligent Systems, Tübingen) and Markus Reichstein (MPI for Biogeochemistry, Jena). My research focuses on causal machine learning for Earth system science, with a particular interest in hybrid models that combine data-driven methods with mechanistic insights from structural causal models. I’m driven by interdisciplinary curiosity and a desire to bridge theory and real-world impact, through better predictions, understanding interventions, or informing policy.
