Paul Hofmann

Paul Hofmann works in the Polybot project at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems on the development of future complex an biodiverse agroecosystems using artificial intelligence, robotics and agroecology. He is co-founder of Hof Sonnenwald, one of the leading regenerative agroforestry research farms in Germany (awarded the State Nature Conservation Prize; as a federal lead farm for crop production; and model farm in the humus-climate network as well as in the agroforestry model and demonstration project). He has also developed and implemented various deep-dive educational programmes on regenerative agriculture. In addition, he has established a model region for climate-friendly and regenerative agriculture and agroforestry for the Black Forest Naturepark and worked there as a project manager and agricultural consultant. He also produces the podcast "Farmvision" via WirLandwirten on topics of the regenerative future of agriculture together with the BLHV farmers associations' press spokesman and chief editor.
